How Ultrasonic Cleaning Works
Ultrasonic cleaning uses high-frequency sound waves to remove fine particles and hard-to-reach dirt, grime, soot, oil, mold, and other contaminants from a wide variety of objects (metal, glass, ceramics, electronics, etc...). The high-tech process creates a perfect balance in that it's strong enough to clean damaged contents without any concern of damage the contents in any way. The ultrasonic cleaning process uses sound to create cavitation bubbles, which then agitate a liquid. Much of the time, handling items that are delicate and using too much agitiation can cause the risk of damage. The ultrasonic sound waves that create the cavitation bubbles release remarkable amounts of energy—creating pressure—which then produces the agitation powerful enough to remove nearly all contaminants from a surface, all without damaging that surface. The cavitation process moves through the cleaning fluid, across the surface of an object, and agitates the pollutants to release their bind with that object. The machines we use in our Saco, Maine facility also ensure the movement of pollutants away from the surfaces to prevent any rebinding, producing a like-new product. If your home or business property should ever become damaged due to fire, water, or mold, remember that we offer Maine's one-of-a-kind solution for contents restoration.
